IUC Asia at the Paris Peace Forum

Paris Peace Forum

The IUC Asia programme has been showcased at the 2nd Paris Peace Forum from 12-13 November 2019. The Paris Peace Forum was created to promote collective action, multilateralism and the good stewardship of common public goods to address common challenges and maintain peace. The event was opened by the designated EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and French President Emmanuel Macron.

IUC Asia was one of 114 projects selected to showcase solutions to global governance, specifically to urban challenges and climate change. In the two-days event, dozens of meetings with relevant stakeholders, policy and media representatives took place at the EU’s IUC Asia stand within the Space for Solutions. The EU’s Foreign Policy Instrument was represented by Hilde Hardeman and Nona Deprez.
