Experts from Europe and Asia discussed today the draft version of the EU-China Regional Innovation Study, focusing on the case studies from both regions respectively. The experts Prof. Robert Hassink and Prof Liu Lun introduced the making of regional innovation strategies and the involvement of stakeholders. The exchange, that was hosted by Casa Asia and supported by Dr. Ronald hall from DG REGIO and by the IUC team experts, helped to identify the next steps in the study, including a further team-internal brainstorming session on 23/24 June 2020 and a discussion with stakeholders from European and Chinese regions in the coming months to comment on the draft conclusions and recommendations. The study might be launched during the European Week of Cities and Regions in Brussels in October 2020.
