Korea: Training on mitigation & technologies in Gwangju

In cooperation with the ICEC (International Climate & Environment Centre) and the Gwangju Metropolitan City, the IUC project held a training on energy and climate change in Gwangju, Republic of Korea. The event was opened by H.E. Michael Reiterer, Ambassador of the EU,  who also visited the headquarter of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) in the neighbouring city of Naju. Gwangju’s Metropolitan City Vice Mayor, Mr Jeong Jongje Lee, also attended the workshop. The City of Gwangju is in the process of joining the GCoM and is supported by the ICEC. The training was developed for city representatives from Gwangju and South Jeolla Province. It was also attended by national-level institutions supporting cities on energy and climate action.
